Our Story
About Us
How We Met
It started, as many great love stories do: with a routine teeth cleaning. Ben's mom worked at the dental office, and when Ben came in for an appointment, his hygienist Sam couldn't help but mention in the break room that they ought to set him up with someone. That's when Shelby, braver than most, volunteered. The rest was up to Ben, who — in true modern fashion — slid into her DMs.
They met at the Winchester in Eastown, and four hours later, neither of them had noticed the time slip away. The conversation flowed like they'd known each other for years, and by the end of the night something had quietly settled between them — the kind of ease you don't have to work for. From that evening on, they've been by each other's side every day possible, and haven't looked back since.

The Proposal
It was a warm August afternoon on the shores of Lake Michigan — the kind of day that feels too perfect to be accidental. Ben and Shelby were spending the week up north with Shelby's family, enjoying lazy days at the pool and warm bonfires at night.
On one of those afternoons, Ben suggested they take a walk down the beach. What Shelby didn't know was that her family was already in on the plan.
As they strolled along the water's edge, with the lake stretching out to the horizon, Ben got down on one knee. Shelby said yes through happy tears — and when they turned back down the beach, her family was there waiting, cheering and capturing every second of it.
It was exactly the kind of moment they'll spend the rest of their lives being grateful for.
